The Bourne Legacy & Feast of the Black Nazarene?

January 9, 2012

Check out the new teaser poster for the upcoming film The Bourne Legacy that stars Jeremy Renner, Edward Norton, & Rachel Weisz. The teaser posters first appeared at The Daily Blam and PerezHilton, both of which may not be 100% purveyors of truth and accuracy, but still quite interesting nonetheless.

Picture above taken from this CNN.

Notice how it makes use of the colors “maroon & black” & is coincidentally released today (Manila Time) as our country went crazy with the reported terror threats on the Feast of the Black Nazarene! Could it be the epic last 20 minute climax uses the Feast of the Black Nazarene? Chairman Briccio Santos of the Film Development Council of the Philippines said it is about a “cure” here in Manila as well:

Manila is part of the story. What I know is that Bourne’s group comes here in search of a rare medication and some forces are trying to stop them.

In addition, just to reiterate, the Regional Office of the World Health Organization for the Western Pacific is that fortress-like compound along United Nations and Taft Avenues. Perhaps that’s why they said Jeremy Renner would be running along the track lines as well?

P.S. The Feast of the Black Nazarene is ALWAYS a security nightmare, but it’s only right now I can remember a current President release a “serious” statement about it…. Keep safe everyone and have a meaningful pilgrimage. But if this is just a PR stint goodness, it is quite a feat….
