Happy Feet is like So You Think You Can Dance. Catching one or two episodes consecutively is kinda fun, but as soon as you’ve “overwatched” what the penguins have to offer, you’d realize your interest and expectations might have been a tad bit too much. Undeniably, the penguins are cute. And of course, I really appreciate the environmental awareness campaign that this movie has depicted.

But just like the Ice Age series, which I fear has another instalment, Happy Feet 2 might be too dragging especially since the plot is really, uhm, flat. But then again, what can you expect from Antartica (they were on the South Pole, right?) and a bunch of wild animals? The selection of pop and classic music (especially Under Pressure) is quite heartwarming as well. But if I were to gauge it in the Cartoon Universe, I’d shell out extra bucks for Adventures of Tintin in 3D and not for Happy Feet 2.
