What I love about the movie Cowboys vs Aliens is that its title basically sums up the plot. It’s so predictable that you might as well expect a sequel (Indians vs Predator) have it not been based from a graphic novel. If you didn’t know, yes it is.

Anyway, the movie is like a western James Bond without the sex (What? No sex? Yes, there’s no sex. And should you decide to watch this movie later on and think the Whore was being “raped” with all the anal probing and all, well, this is a spoiler alert, you greenminded you!). Don’t worry, there’s a lot of “Westernized violence” but it just doesn’t help to stick to reality when all of those aliens come a’flyin out of nowhere. Anyway, given the issues surrounding the manliness of the guys in boots thanks to the late Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ang Lee, and Madonna, this movie really returned the long-evapotated testosterone of the stereotypical Marlboro Man.

I watched Cowboys vs Aliens because of Daniel Craig (which I now really miss as James Bond. I need a new one, darn you Barbara Broccoli!) And of course, I’m kinda interested how 13 will do on the big-screen. She isn’t much in the Oscars category, but her body and those blue eyes can really rival that of anyone on-screen including, uhrm, Daniel Craig.

Cowboys vs Aliens is nothing more than some guy saving the world Witwicky-style. At least this time around, the hero is much more believable sans the robotic allies from outer space. And oh, between this, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes, I’d go for #ApesWillRise anytime of the day.

Yes. Predictable movie. For the lack of choice, I saw this one.

Apes is much more better. Far better.
