Forgotten Movie Reviews

June 29, 2006

Human Trafficking. Welcome to Manila, the Philippines! Hehehe. Anyway this is another take on the controversial world of human smuggling where, sadly, the Philippines is once again named as yet another hotspot in this international problem. Anyway, putting the political issues aside, the movie is quite bearable. Though I have a lot of things against Mira Sorvino’s acting, the storyline is quite okay. And I’m also a wee bit proud of the acting rendered by the Pinoy actors – or the actors playing Filipino actors. I’m not so sure if they’re locals. Their accents are just so darned good.

Casshern. Stupid Japanese trash.
Maurice. Stupid British trash. Hugh Grant. Ugh. Period.
Edge of Seventeen. Stupid American trash.

Just a Question of Love. Romantic, but it lacks something that I cannot just define.
The Broken Hearts Club.
Kinda okay especially since they made use of actors not normally confined to gay roles. But then again, it’s kinda sucky especially since they made use of actors not normally confined to gay roles.
