About King del Rosario

I am King del Rosario, a Bisaya in Manila hailing from Tagum City, a running & Internet addict, Pisay scholar nerd, a failed Atenean an attempted Blue Eagle turned marginalized nightshift Benildean (read as Career Development Program Student Elder). Due to my amazing controversial extraordinary academic set-up, I ended up becoming a working student for 3 darned years, whereas I worked and studied full-time in a very basic sense.

I worked from 8ish until 6ish daily and went to class from 630 PM (guess why professors would refer me as the late King del Rosario) to 1030 PM (Mr. Baylon, is that you?). This setup gave me an amazing(?) work experience in the wonderful world of marketing & business development long before actually achieving my hard-earned degree of BS Business Administration major in Marketing Management from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

Before actually getting to rightfully wear a graduation toga (or see my convoluted name written printed using laserjet with matching hologram on papyrus), I used to work as follows:

Sports Category Brand Manager – AND1, Keen Footwear, Relzbach Sports, Inc.

After marching down the glorious aisle at PICC (and falling asleep during a certain portion of the ceremony, hehehe), I landed on what is technically my first job after graduation as Innovations Leader (Senior Assistant Manager) for PSBank. And oh, just like everyone else, I’m also a part-time partly a model. Click here to see my biggest (and perhaps only) exposure to date. Hehehe.

ADHD and other issues put aside, I was connected to IPS Japan handling 2 important positions for them from December 2008 until August 2010. The first one being the Marketing Manager for their Direct Marketing Business selling those oh-so expensive beauty product such as Celesty & Musevital to our beloved Overseas Filipina Workers in Japan.

At the same time, I also managed the Marketing & Business Development of Shinagawa Lasik & Aesthetics Center Corporation in the Philippines. Shinagawa Philippines is a Joint Venture between IPS and the Shinagawa Group, which operates the #1 aesthetic surgery chain in Japan and the world’s largest Intralasik eye surgery provider worldwide.

Currently, I’m on the prowl for another financially-lucrative and professionally-rewarding employment. However, while waiting for the perfect job offer to come, I’m doing a lot of ghostwriting and marketing consultancy. For some reason, my experience in 3 start-up companies has given me quite an edge in being noticed on-line. In addition, an on-line article about me, which I initially thought would tarnish my “integrity”, has given me a lot of opportunities in the world of Digital Marketing instead. Now how’s that for revenge?

For my last job, I handled the Business Unit which aimed to relaunch, revitalize, and sell hundred millions of pesosesoses worth of genuine Thermos brand products here in the Philippines. The exclusive distributor of the genuine Thermos brand in the Philippines is Collins International Trading Corporation, which is a part of the Automatic Centre Group.
