For some reason, McG expected people who watched this movie to be fully aware what the Terminator Series is all about. But then again, maybe it’s because I’m not the kind of moviegoer they had in mind when they were making this movie. This is why I appreciated the new Star Trek. Just a trivia, the promising Anton Yelchin stars in both Star Trek and Terminator Salvation as Pavel Chekov and Kyle Reese, respectively.

Anyhoo, I now know who Kyle Reese is and why he is so darned important. I still cannot fully appreciate the twists and turns of the Terminator series though even with such newfound knowledge. In addition, this movie reminds me a lot of Transformers. The graphics are just so awfully similar albeit the so-called sepia look & feel. And oh, did you notice Christian Bale’s character John Connor say “I’ll be back”? That was something, uhm, nostalgic. Hehe.

Terminator Salvation is another Terminator movie (especially with the slightly laughable cameo appearance of Governor Schwarzenegger). Whether that is a good or a bad thing is for you to decide.
