Takbo Para Sa Puso 2008

I joined the Takbo Para sa Puso fun run today May 25, 2008 at 6 AM, UP Diliman. For my second try in this wonderul athletic world of running, I opted to join the challenging-enough 5k race rather than jump right away to 10k. Perhaps on my third, I’d try a 10k run as preparation for the 2008 Men’s Health All Terrain Race this coming June 15, 20008 at Timberland Heights.

I was able to finish the 5k run within 30:11 minutes which placed me a wee 49th out of the entire 126 non-MD males who joined the category. I was hoping to get an award for my age range, but sadly, I am still not fast enough. Haha. Thanks for the Gardenia bread and Pocari Sweat though. Just a note though, I ran the Pringles track for 23 minutes, and now a mere 7 minutes difference for an actual 5k track. See what I mean when I said I could have done so much better for my first time. Sigh.

Anyhoo, here are some of the event pictures my pics.
